Ale is a beer with a strain of brewer's yeast. Home brewers love to use it since it can ferment in room temperature.Lager beers are slightly more difficult to make, since they require lower temperatures to ferment. Therefore you will need a fairly large fridge.
How long does it take to brew?
The brewing process itself takes about two hours. Then the wort will need to ferment for two weeks.Once you bottle, the bottles will need to sit for another two weeks!
Done! So, roughly four weeks.
How strong will it be?
It depends on the brewing, but in most cases the beer will have an alcohol content of 5-6 %.
How much beer will it produce?
About 4 liters that you pour in 11, 33 cl (brown) beer bottles.Tip! Start saving beer bottles now, that way you will already have them ready once you recieve your beer brewing kit.
How long is the shelf life?
It's at its best 3-4 weeks after you bottle.Since the hops is perishable, the beer will start to lose flavor after a while.
The beer will never go bad, but it won't be as delicious a year later.
Is it difficult to brew?
It is easier than fixing a flat tire, harder then buying beer (but more fun) and about the same as baking bread.Why should you brew your own beer when you can just buy it at the store?

Preferably two (one works too) 5 liter pots, a strainer, a funnel, ice (freezer blocks) and a large spoon. That's it!Will I need some kind of special storage for the fermenter?
No, the fermenter does best in room temperature, but should be kept away from sunlight. The closet works great.
Could I start brewing my own recipes with this kit?
Absolutely, buy some hops, malt and start mixing your own recipes.What is the most important aspect when brewing?
Making sure everything is really clean. Use the disinfectant solution that is in the brewing kit.Then you shouldn't have any problems. It can be helpful to have someone with you when you brew,
it's not necessary but it's more fun and makes it easier.
